Skyrim - Fifteen Seconds

They don’t even call your name. You step ahead.

You know it will be fast; fifteen seconds, more or less, to close your eyes on a world.

Fifteen seconds and one chance to try - you breathe so fast you would explode, even though your effort is bound to end in nothing anyway. There is no way to keep it all with you.

So few are the things you can cling to, so many slip away - the peaks and the snow and your lost tomorrow, the sunlight, the voices, the yells that are killing your every chance.

Five seconds of walking to your end, on the ground that was never meant to be your home, nor even just a glimpse in a life of adventures. You bend your useless legs and wait for what is left of you to vanish. Five seconds of agony and fighting with the smell, with the blood of a poor soul, still warm on your neck.

Two seconds to hear the dragon roar - for real, again, you know your time is up.
You fade to black. You never see your future as it comes to take your life.
